The contribution of individuals, government and the corporate sector drives the success of the
Cape York
organisations. It has been estimated that up to fifty percent of the resources utilised by the five
Cape York
organisations come from the in-kind contribution of individuals and corporates mainly in the volunteer and secondment of skilled expertise.
There are opportunities to get involved in the work of the
Cape York
organisations in a number of ways.
Individuals
On an individual level the Cape York organisations offer a variety of paid positions and volunteer roles. Please contact the organisation of your interest to find out more.
Alternatively, Indigenous Community Volunteers is a national organisation that coordinates relationships between individuals and corporates and the Australian Indigenous community. To find our more visit their website.
Finally, if you are an Indigenous person resident in
Cape York
you are eligible to become a member of several of the organisations and have a say in how the organisations are run.
Corporates and Government
At a corporate or government level, there are opportunities to provide monetary or in-kind support to the
Cape York
organisations. Indigenous Enterprise Partnerships is a not-for-profit organisation established to channel corporate and philanthropic resources into Indigenous development. It has a long term relationship with the Cape York organisations and you are encouraged to contact them to discuss how your organisation can get involved.
