| The Cape York organisations are legal entities with defined structures controlled by a variety of state and federal laws. The organisations have clearly defined governance structures and boards of directors. The Cape York Land Council and Apunipima Cape York Health Council are membership based. That is, the rules of both Councils require Cape York Aboriginal people to become members before they can have their full say at meetings. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
